A few months ago, something groundbreaking happened. The Renew team traveled to the Aurora property in the Amazon for a first of its kind youth gathering. There were over 100 youth from 14 different tribes, each speaking their unique language. Our team watched as they tangibly encountered the power of God, forgave each other, and got baptized. For many it marked the first time in their people’s history. It was powerful.
Yet, this gathering wasn’t just an isolated event. What we witnessed in a short visit was the culmination of God’s faithfulness over the decades in the jungle. We watched as God commissioned a new generation to reach their people, and it has forever marked us.
